Glitter Thank you

One of my husband's co-workers was kind enough recently to send on some clothes that her boys no longer fitted into. This is such a great help, as we all know, most kids grow out of their clothes before they wear them out and my two are no exception. It was only right for me to do up this thank you card for her.

Card Tip:

Sometimes keeping it simple is more effective, especially with a show piece sentiment.

Good Luck Nurse

I have started a new job recently and the woman I am replacing is leaving to become a nurse. I have really liked working with her, and I feel a little bit sad that it wont continue after my handover. With this in mind I offered to do her leaving card. I have used the  Some Odd Girl Nurse Kaylee digital stamp. This is the great thing about digital - the finished card is 6" x 12" so the image of Kaylee is 8" in height - this is only possible by enlarging a digital image.

Your computer gives you endless possibilities for sentiments, don't discount it.

Happy Birthday Panda

Deedee Digis has a monthly challenge using a particular Deedee stamp set.

This month it is "Not a Tie" with a very cute panda image.

I have managed to do two completely different cards with the one digital stamp set.

The first one is using the pre-coloured panda image for a birthday card for my nephew

Its Not a Tie

The Second Card I have created using Deedee's Digital Stamp Set "Not a Tie"

is a father's day card for my father in-law. After all the mother's day cards I made it was nice to make one for the guys this time. My father in-law worked in an office all his life and now that he is retired and won't be receiving anymore ties for father's day I thought this was great for him.

Of course you will notice a  slight difference here - I have created a bear out of a panda!!!

Card Tip:

Bakers twine is great for the times where you want to add something more but ribbon seems to feminine.

I had the privilege to be invited to an 80th Birthday Party on the weekend. Since this is such a milestone I wanted to do something a little bit special, and I thought a twisted easel card would fit the bill.

Card Tip:

For the flowers on this card; I die cut a whole swag of them and then rolled them up while watching TV. This way it was quite relaxing and I now have a container of roses ready to embellish my cards.

Here is my entry for the  Papertreyink Make it Monday Challenge. The idea is to use a  very small stamp and build it up over an embossed greeting so it ends up looking like confetti. After seeing it I had to give it a go myself. Here are the results
