Merry Christmas with little boy.

I would love to say that I have started my Christmas Cards early but really that isn't true "sigh". This months Outlawz progressive image was this cutie from Gerder Steiner Designs
Now to be honest, I don't send out Halloween cards or Fall cards so I thought what am I going to do with this image?
Then I had the thought, What if he wasn't carrying pumpkins but presents?
so this is what I created.
Card Tip:
Please remember that you are not allowed to change the lines of a image without the artist's permission. In this case I didn't change the image, I fussy cut it and added the presents over the top of the pumpkins.

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock: standard white card base, Quill red card stock.
Stamps: Gerda Steiner Designs a big load kid with the pumpkin hand cart, Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet rsp my Christmas stamps.

Flower Inspiration for Diecut Divas

Well here is another shaped card for Diecut Divas using our sponsors for this month Morgan's ArtWorld and One Happy Cut. Here is my project:

Diecut Divas, Morgans ArtWorld Garden 9

Card Tip:

To create this card, fold your card base, place your die on the folded card base, align your die so the top of the die is outside the fold, stick it in place (I use painters tape, no tac tape that comes off easier) run through your diecut machine. Once finished, you should have a card base that is the shape of the die but still has the fold in place.

Card Ingredients:

Card Stock: white card stock base, Quill black card stock.
Stamps: Morgans ArtWorld Garden 9, sentiment created and printed on the computer.
Dies: Spellbinders Label 8, Cheryl Lynn's alison ribbons, Lil Inkers bow die-mini.
Other: Coloured by Faber-Castell classic coloured pencils, Wink of Stella clear glitter pen, assorted coloured gems.

Guest Designing for Craft Rocket Challenges.

I had the privilege to be asked to be the Guest Designer for the very first challenge at Craft Rocket Challenge Blog. The theme for this challenge is pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. At the same time my mum requested a card for her twin sisters that were turning 60, she was also giving them a gift card each, so I wanted to incorporate that into my project. This is what I came up with:

Card Tip:

To create this card base I used a 12"x 12" card stock. I then cut out a square of 3"x 3" square from each corner leaving this shape.
Then add score / fold lines to all inner areas, the top and bottom section fold in first, then the side sections fold in.
You then add pattern paper or card stock panels, all fold able sections measure 3" x  6".
To create the gift card pocket, I die cut the shape then cut it down to the width of 2".

Card Ingredients:

Card Stock: Francheville cream cardstock for the base, Quill pink and pale pink card stock.
Papers:
Stamps: Aurora Wings Lotus Sprite Big Eyes.

Markers:
               Skin: E000+E00+E11+R20
               Lips: E04+RV23
               Eyes: BG02+BG05
               Hair: E21+E25+E23+E29
               Flowers: R81+R83+R85, RV04+R85+RV09,
                                RV02+RV04+RV06+RV09, Y17
               Stems: G17+G09
               Background: R81
Dies: Lil Inker Designs bow-mini, Spellbinders label 8, Creative Dies corner die.
Other: Pink ribbon from stash, Kaisercraft pearls.

Diecut Divas, Morgans ArtWorld Cameo 13

Card Tip:

I used my Brother Scan and Cut to create this card easily. Using the Digital Delights Shaped Card Set 1, using the included card inserts I was able to cut out my focal image, I then resized the card base image and the insert again for my matting, without making a mistake or wasting card stock.

Card Ingredients:

Card Stock: Francheville brown card stock for the base and orange card stock.
Stamps: Morgans ArtWorld Cameo 13, Card Stamping Magazine free gift for sentiment.
Ink: Versafine onyx black ink.
Markers:

               Hair: E23+E25+E29

Guest Designing for Outlawz Challenges

I have been asked to guest design over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenges and this week the theme is anything goes with the optional twist of ATC. What's an ATC, I hear you ask. An ATC  or Artist Trading Card is sized 2.5" x 3.5", and are miniature works of art. They are never sold or bought, they are always traded. So admittedly this is my first set of ATCs I had attempted, so I went with a christmas theme, and this is what I came up with:
Outlawz Twisted Thursday, Stitchy Bear Stamps RSP My Christmas
