Diecut Divas Farewell to January

So it is time to say goodbye to another month at Diecut Divas, I know it feels like January only just started and we are saying goodbye.Here is just one more project showing how Elizabeth Craft Dies can be used.

Outlawz Progressive Challenge

Well thanks to the Outlawz Progressive Challenge for January (yeah I'm running a little bit late for this one) I started on my first Christmas Card for 2015, and we know how much I like to avoid the usual Christmas colours so here is my version in Purple.

Even though this is a christmas card, with different colouring or paper piecing of the focal image and a different sentiment this could easily be a birthday card for a little girl.

Hugs and Kisses over at Perfectly Rustics

Its a brand new challenge over at Perfectly Rustics today, and you guessed it, its all about Hugs and Kisses. It can be in your background paper, your sentiment or your focal image or embellishment.Here is my take.

Don't forget that your alpha dies can not only be used for custom sentiments, but accents and backgrounds like I have used them here.

Here I have used the accordion diecut as a window in my card also to create a cute frame. Try to think outside the box for different uses of your dies.

A New Year at Perfectly Rustics

Well it is a brand new year and a brand new challenge over at Perfectly Rustics today with a theme of Animals in any shape or form. I happened to be part of the Kit and Clowder facebook Christmas Card swap and as my card was going international, I thought this christmas Emu was perfect for this and perfect for this challenge.

Your inspiration can come from anywhere, but that is what it is inspiration, that doesn't mean you can't change the idea along the way. The inspiration for this card came from a magazine but I slightly changed it with its dimensions to fit my focal image and I used a die for my bow creating more dimension.
