Diecut Divas October Spring Colours

We are coming to the end of October, and I don't know where this month has gone not to mention where the year is going also. It does mean you get to see one more card with a change of season theme from me for Diecut Divas. After seeing this gorgeous fairy from crafty sentiments, she just screamed spring to me so that is what I did.

Card Tip:

To create this card I used a standard A5 card base, scored and folded it in half then scored and folded the front in half again. I then worked out where I wanted my ribbon to go, and glued that in place before sticking down the folded section.

Outlawz CAS Going to the Pumpkin Patch

So its time for another Outlawz Sunday CAS challenge and this week it is "Going to the Pumpkin Patch, just include a pumpkin of any kind on your project. I saw this MoonFlower digital stamp and thought it would be perfect for this.
This is my last guest designer card for the Outlawz CAS team and I have loved every minute of it, hopefully they will ask me to guest design again in the future but for now here is my card.

I am no copic expert but I liked the look of curly hair I achieved just by doing squiggles instead of colouring or flicks.

Fitztown Use Vellum

Its time for a new challenge over at Fitztown and this time it is use vellum. so I decided what better way to use vellum then a really cool frame. I created this card for my little sister's birthday, so you know what that means, it has to be a twisted easel card.

Card Tip:

If you are posting a card and need less bulk, try a paper ribbon and bow, gives you the look of a ribbon but will still fold flat for postage.

Diecut Divas Seasonal Change

For the month of October over at the Diecut Divas we are talking about Seasonal Change, whether that is Autumn or Spring depending on which side of the world you are from.
When I saw Crafty Sentiments Toby Heart Balloon I could just image this kite flying on a windy Autumn day, so that was my inspiration for this card.

If your image is a odd shape or you can't fit it all within a die you want to use, than don't. Do as I have done and place aspects of the image outside the die cut,creating an instant embellishment.

Outlawz and Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Well its time for another CAS challenge over on the Outlawz Challenge blog and this week in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month (Australia and South Africa just to name a few countries) we want your CAS breast cancer survivor card. When I saw the ColourQ challenge this week I thought it was a perfect fit, so here is my guest designer card for this week.

Fitztown Halloween

Although here in Australia we don't celebrate Halloween, well I don't, that doesn't mean I don't love all the Halloween images, especially the witches, they are my favorite.  So here is my inspiration piece for Fitztown's Halloween Challenge.

Outlawz CAS Challenge Guest Designer

I have used a Versamark Pen to colour in the icing areas and embossed them with Judikins clear sparkling embossing powder. the pen allows you to put ink only where you want it.

Perfectly Rustic Colour Combo


So its time for a new challenge over at Perfectly Rustic and this time its a colour challenge. Ever since I saw this Papertrey Ink die and stamp set I have wanted to use it, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity. So with that in mind I have done a very simple get well card for my Nana.

I have die cut the butterflies twice, one in the green and one in the espresso. I then adhered the green butterfly on top of the brown butterfly but slightly to the side which gives a shadow effect.
