Diecut Divas October Spring Colours

We are coming to the end of October, and I don't know where this month has gone not to mention where the year is going also. It does mean you get to see one more card with a change of season theme from me for Diecut Divas. After seeing this gorgeous fairy from crafty sentiments, she just screamed spring to me so that is what I did.

Card Tip:

To create this card I used a standard A5 card base, scored and folded it in half then scored and folded the front in half again. I then worked out where I wanted my ribbon to go, and glued that in place before sticking down the folded section.

Card Stock: White card stock from stash

Papers: Kaisercraft magic happens 6x6 paper pad, plain pink paper from  stash

Stamps: Crafty Sentiments Scilla Fairy

Ink: Distress Ink spun sugar.

Markers:

               Skin: E000+E00+E21 + RV32

               Hair: E23+E25+E29
               Dress and Shoes: V01+V12+V15

               Flowers: R81+R83+R85+YG03
               Wings:RV02+RV04+RV06 

Dies: Spellbinders label 5, Impression Obsession layered floral set.

Other: assorted purple gems, Gina K Designs pink organza ribbon, Bow Easy for the bow, Fiskars upper crest border punch, wink of stella clear pen, pink kindy glitz.

Outlawz CAS Challenge Guest Designer

I have been asked to be a guest designer over at the Outlawz Sunday CAS challenge, and how could I possibly say no to that. So the new challenge this week is create a fall colours CAS Wedding card,  so here is my interpretation. 

Card Tip:

I have used a Versamark Pen to colour in the icing areas and embossed them with Judikins clear sparkling embossing powder. the pen allows you to put ink only where you want it.

Card Ingredients:

Card Stock: standard 5"x 7" white card base. Varied DCWR card stock for flowers.

Stamps: HelloColoring Wedding Cake coloring page, JustRite celebration sentiments stamp set

Ink: Memento rich cocoa, Versamark pen, Distress Ink mustard seed.

Markers: Plate: E35 

Dies: Impression Obsession layered floral set, Spellbinders label 8.

Other: Judikins clear sparkling embossing powder, assorted coloured gems.

Diecut Divas Fairy with a Ladybug

Well here we are at the end of another month but we still have time to fit in one more new technique over at Diecut Divas to inspire you - so here is mine.

Using this gorgeous Bugaboo Stamp Ladybug Fairy I wanted a card that was still fairly clean looking.

that is when I saw a technique by Maile Belles from Papertrey Ink called a Cutout PanelVery simple but very effective. You adhere your image and then cut a 1" strip on either side of your image - top and bottom.

You then adhere your pattern paper or embossed piece to the back using pop dots. I have used double sided paper so I can leave the panel as is on the inside.
