Its the start of a brand new challenge over at Perfectly Rustics today and the theme is Punch Art. What is punch art I hear you say - well it is an amazing technique where you create different things out of die or punch shapes. This was my first venture into the realm of punch art and after talking to my friends Google and Pinterest, there are some amazingly talented people out there that seem to be able to turn anything into anything.
So with that in mind - here is my interpretation:
white and red card stock from stash plus white card base cut down to 4 5/8" x 5 5/8".

Card Tip:
I don't have a lot of punches so I used dies instead but I think the essential principle is the same. Here is how I achieved this lovely dress.
1 Heart Shape in Red
1 Scallop Circle in Red and White
Step 1 - with your heart shape, trim a little bit off the top of the heart to create your cleavage area.
Step 2 - Drew diagonal lines on both your scalloped circles and cut away to create the skirts (about 5 to 6 scallops on each side depending on how big you want your skirt)
Step 3 - Emboss your red skirt.
Step 4 - Attach your heart over the top of your red skirt with double sided tape.
Step 5 - wrap ribbon around the join the create the waistband.
Step 6 - arrange and adhere white skirt below red skirt.
Step 7 - decorate waist line and neckline.
