Firsts

I have a couple of firsts to announce today. You will probably notice I have a new badge on my sidebar, I have been accepted as the newest member of the Perfectly Rustic Design Team -Wooo Hoooo. My first inspiration card will be for the first year anniversary so stay tuned for that one.
The other firsts are related to my card, My mum is turning 60 which is pretty monumental so I thought she needed a card that was pretty special. I saw this image and thought my mum would love it. Its called Women with Gardenia and Pearls and it is my first Aurora Wings image I have used. This is also the first spring card I have attempted.

Card Tip:

Spring Cards look amazing and are really easy to make. Here is the  tutorial and video tutorial I followed: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/spring_card/  most cards use the measurements of 5 ¼" x 10½", but my initial measurements were 7" x 14".


Card Ingredients:

Card Stock:
Quill A3 blue cardstock for base, Kaszazz grape card stock
Stamps:
Aurora Wings  Women with Gardenia and Pearls
SimonSaysStamps Happy stampset,Papertrey Ink doodlie-do stamp set
Ink:
Memento tuxedo black ink, distress ink dusty concord.
Markers:
Copics - Skin: E000+E00+E21+R20
                Lips:R83
                Eyes:B23
                Hair: E53+E55+E57
                Flowers: V12+V15+V17 V04+V06+V09
                Leaves:YG03+YG06+YG09
                Bubbles and Beads:BG15
Dies:
Garden Favourites quilled creations dies, small roses, Spellbinders grommet tag
Other:
White ribbon, assorted gems,brads, material flowers, Christina Re border punch,purple ribbon,Stardust clear gitter pen.
