Lady Bookmark at Diecut Divas

After finishing the gorgeous baby card for my friend I realised that there would be very little focus on her so I decided I would make her a bookmark. I had never made one before so  I thought it would be perfect for Diecut Divas something new challenge this month and when you tee it up with a brand new to me clear stamp from Some Odd Girl it is absolutely perfect.

Black Magic Technique with Diecut Divas

Over at Diecut Divas this month it is all about new things, new stamps or new dies or new techiques. For my project I am showcasing a new technique I discovered on StampTV called the black magic technique. This is what I came up with:
Diecut Divas, Penny Black Fantasy
Card Tip:
First you start with a piece of black card stock, a stamp and white pigment ink. When choosing your stamp go for a solid image as you will be colouring it in later. Stamp your piece of black card stock with white pigment ink of your choice. Pigment inks take longer to dry as they sit on the surface of the card stock, you can fasten it up with your heat tool but I would recommend you leaving it overnight to be absolutely sure its dry. Colour it in with whatever colour medium you would like. I haven't used fairly simple blending techniques but that is purely up to you. For a video of this technique in action head here.

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock: Quill yellow standard card base, black card stock, Francheville green card stock.
Stamps: Penny Black fantasy
Ink: Memories unicorn white pigment ink.
Dies: Simon Says Stamps stitched rectangles, new Creative Dies tag and sentiment.
Other: Marco Rafine coloured pencils.
