Card Tip:

Do you ever have the instance that you want to use a die but its not quite long enough, wide enough for your image, well here is what you can do:
Step 1: You can only extend your die in one direction or it starts getting to difficult.
Step 2: Just as a fail safe, place the die on the image you wish to cut out and make a line where it ends.
Step 3: using washi tape, or post it tape, tape the die in place.
Step 4: Place into your diecut machine but line your cutting plate up to finish where you have made your line, run it through.
Step 5:Slide your die carefully across to incorporate the new area you want cut, lining it up with your already cut section.
Step 6: Line your cutting plate up with the line again, on the other side this time and run it through.
Step 7: Tidy up your die cut if and where needed.

A Birthday Cake with Diecut Divas.

We are still talking yummy things to eat over at Diecut Divas this month. One of my favourite Julia Child's quotes states that "A party without cake is just a meeting" so as to not be accused of throwing a meeting here is my Doodle Pantry birthday cake.

Engagement Card for Guys

I previously made a wedding aniversay card for a friend and recently she came me and asked if I could do another one of those "fold out cards, that's an engagement card for two guys". Well first I figured out that like last time she wanted an easel card. Next - where to find an image to use for two guys getting engaged. So I searched the power of the interwebs as well as some very in the know Facebook groups and I came across Mayzy Arts Mix and Match Kissers Set. This is perfect for any couple combination you may need. This is what I came up with

Mayzy Arts Mix and Match Kissers Set.

A Guest Book with Perfectly Rustics

There is a new challenge starting over at Perfectly Rustics today with a theme of Use Three of Something, I also wanted to share a project that was a huge joy to create. My little sister Rachael decided to get married to the love of her life Simon on 30th April 2015 in New Zealand and I was incredibly honored that they asked me to create a guest book for them. This was the first time I had made anything like this and with only a guest list of 17 - it presented an interesting challenge, This is what I came up with.

Card Tip:

I needed to create a small guest book that was strong enough to hold up but also had black pages - a request made by the groom. So my solution was covering a chipboard album. I started off with a American Crafts 6x8 chipboard minibook, and covered it with assorted card stock.

Card Ingredients:

Card Stock: Bazzill royalty, her majesty, black tie.
Papers: cream paper from local scrapbook store.
Stamps: Tiddly Inks As You Wish
Markers:
               Skin: E000+E00+E11+E02+R20
               Guy's Hair: E33+E35+E37
               Lady's Hair: E40+E41+E43+E31
               Guy's Shirt: E50+E30
               Guys Tunic: E23+E25+E29
               Guy's Pants: E53+E55+E57
               Guy's Boots: C01+C03+C05+C07
               Lady's Shirt: E50+E30
               Lady's Dress: V000+V01+V12+V04
               Lady's Shoes: E53+E55+E57
Dies: Cuttlebug typewriter font die, Spellbinders lattice rectangle, Couture Creations nesting hearts, I also used my Brother Scan and Cut for the page shapes.
Other: Prima flowers, purple and cream ribbon from stash.
